This wedding was full of all our favorite things… high school sweethearts, military service, wide open spaces, and dreamy light!
Chris & Bailey are indeed high school sweethearts. Once Chris joined the Marines the couple has overcome almost constant separation – including more than one tour oversees, and more to come. They’ve faced some big moments together already, before their wedding day ever came! So we were honored to get to capture this big moment for them!
Van Dickson Ranch in Prescott was the perfect backdrop to their wedding! Chris & Bailey are one of those laid back super fun and humorous couples so the simplicity and authenticity of the ranch seemed to fit them perfectly! We are always a sucker for a dress change and in this situation Bailey changed from her formal wedding dress to a beautiful flowy cotton dress for the reception events and honestly- it was all perfect.
We laughed when you laughed and cried when you cried (okay maybe just Sharley cried- Taylor was real close though!) especially during the father/daughter dance. Bailey’s father had passed away but had audio clips from voicemails he had left her over the years which they inserted into the song she danced to. She had a few different people she danced with as stand ins. Definitely a very sweet moment!!
